Welcome to East Herts Ramblers
We have been a Ramblers group for over 30 years, covering the east Hertfordshire area. Not only do we walk throughout Hertfordshire, but also into west Essex, south Cambridgeshire, east Buckinghamshire and in and around London.
The Ash Valley
- lead a variety of walks, mainly at the weekend.
- run regular walking holidays for our members.
- protect our footpaths.
We lead a variety of walks, mainly at the weekend. Several of the walks are figure of eights to give you the opportunity to just do a morning or afternoon walk (in the region of 5 miles each) or an all-day walk. The all-day walks are in the region of 10 miles. On all day walks there is always a picnic spot and usually a pub. We always have a mid morning and mid afternoon break as well. Visitors from other areas and anyone interested in walking and the Ramblers’ Association are welcome to join us on these walks. New walkers are very welcome to come on 2 or 3 walks before joining to see if it is their thing.
See our current programme of walks.
We run regular walking holidays for our members, normally the May Bank Holiday weekend, and a full week in the beginning of September. In recent years the former has included the Weavers Way, the South Downs Way, the National Forest and Sheringham. The September holiday has been to the Derbyshire Dales, Anglesey, Dartmoor and the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Click here to read about our recent holidays.
